Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of TryTempInbox. They're short because our service is simple: we give you an anonymous, throwaway inbox; you agree to use it lawfully and fairly. By using the site, you accept everything below.

Last updated: August 9, 2026 · Applies to trytempinbox.com

1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using TryTempInbox ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, your only remedy is simple: stop using the Service. Because the Service requires no registration, your use of it — loading the site, generating an address, or reading mail — constitutes acceptance.

2. What the Service is — and isn't

TryTempInbox provides free, anonymous, receive-only temporary email inboxes. An address is generated automatically when you visit, accepts incoming mail for a limited time, and then expires along with everything it received. The Service is intended for low-stakes, short-lived correspondence: verification codes, confirmation links, trial sign-ups, QA testing, and shielding your real address from marketing lists.

The Service is not an email provider in the conventional sense. It cannot send mail, cannot recover deleted messages, cannot forward mail, and cannot serve as a mailbox of record for anything important. Do not rely on it for banking, government, medical, employment, or any account you may need to recover in the future.

3. Eligibility

You may use the Service only if you are at least 13 years old (or 16 where your local law requires it) and capable of forming a binding contract. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements and that your use will comply with every law that applies to you.

4. Acceptable use policy

Anonymity is a tool for privacy — not a license to harm others. You agree to use TryTempInbox only for lawful, legitimate purposes, including:

  • Receiving one-time verification codes and confirmation links;
  • Signing up for newsletters, downloads, Wi-Fi portals, or free trials without exposing your real address;
  • Testing application sign-up, notification, and email-rendering flows as a developer or QA engineer;
  • Protecting your identity where disclosing your real address is unnecessary.

Any use that falls outside these purposes and into the prohibited list below is a breach of these terms.

5. Prohibited activities

You must not use the Service, directly or indirectly, for any of the following:

  • Illegal activity. Anything that violates applicable local, national, or international law — including fraud, identity theft, money laundering, or the trade of illegal goods and services.
  • Spam and bulk abuse. Facilitating, coordinating, or receiving confirmations for unsolicited bulk email campaigns, or using disposable addresses to operate or verify spam-sending infrastructure.
  • Harassment and abuse. Targeting any person or group with harassment, threats, stalking, intimidation, hate speech, or non-consensual exposure of private information.
  • Phishing and impersonation. Creating accounts intended to deceive, defraud, or impersonate another person, brand, or organization — including support-desk fraud and social-engineering schemes.
  • Malware operations. Receiving or staging malware payloads, command-and-control messages, exploit kits, or credentials stolen from third parties.
  • Platform manipulation. Mass-generating addresses to create fake accounts, inflate votes or reviews, farm referral bonuses, claim promotional credits, or evade bans and rate limits imposed by other services.
  • Attacks on our infrastructure. Probing, scanning, or attempting to breach the Service; interfering with other users' inboxes; guessing or enumerating addresses; or automating requests at volumes designed to degrade the Service for others.
  • Content involving exploitation of minors. Zero tolerance. Any use connected to child sexual abuse material will be reported to the relevant authorities immediately.
  • Resale or white-labeling. Commercially reselling access to the Service or presenting it as your own product without written permission.

If you're unsure whether a use case crosses a line, it probably does — or at least deserves a question first: abuse@trytempinbox.com.

6. Enforcement & abuse handling

To protect the Service and its users, we reserve the right — without notice — to block or retire addresses, reject mail from abusive senders or domains, rate-limit or refuse traffic, and restrict access for patterns that violate these terms. Automated systems flag abuse; because inboxes are anonymous, enforcement normally targets addresses, sending domains, and traffic patterns rather than individuals.

Where the law requires it, we cooperate with valid legal process and report illegal content to the appropriate authorities. To report abuse of the Service (for example, a phishing campaign using our addresses), contact abuse@trytempinbox.com.

7. Ephemeral nature & availability

You acknowledge and accept the defining trait of the Service: nothing persists. Addresses expire with the session; messages are automatically and permanently deleted within hours; manual deletion is instant and irreversible. We make no promise that any particular message will be delivered, displayed, or retained for any particular length of time, and we are under no obligation to recover anything after deletion — technically, we usually can't.

The Service is provided free of charge and may be interrupted, suspended, or discontinued at any time, for maintenance, upgrades, or any other reason.

8. Intellectual property

The TryTempInbox name, logo, site design, and underlying software are the property of the Service operator and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, revocable right to use the Service for its intended purpose. Email content received through the Service remains the property of its respective senders; you gain no ownership of it, and neither do we.

9. Third-party links & advertising

The Service displays third-party advertising (including Google AdSense) and emails you receive may contain links to third-party websites. We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for the content, products, or privacy practices of any third-party site or advertiser. Clicking links inside received messages is at your own risk — treat a disposable inbox with the same skepticism you would any email.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," with all faults and without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free, or that any email will be delivered or preserved.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TryTempInbox and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, lost accounts, or missed messages — arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded entirely, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service: zero.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TryTempInbox and its operator from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these terms — including any illegal activity conducted through an inbox you used.

13. Changes to the Service or terms

We may modify these terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page with its "Last updated" date, and material changes will be flagged on the site before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised terms. We may also add, change, or remove features of the Service at any time without liability.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that location, except where mandatory consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.
